Foot Toys are not connected to the cage. They are designed so birds can pick them up with their feet, providing exercise for foot and leg strength and allowing the freedom for birds to grasp and explore the foot toys close up. All birds love foot toys but some birds such as Lorikeets and Caiques love laying on their backs playing with the foot toys still grasped in their feet. Foot toys are also popular with birds that like to hold objects with one foot such as Amazons, Cockatoos and Conures. Even the little birds like to throw and chase foot toys around.
